The Dog Institute of Williamsburg, Brooklyn is a center for puppies and dogs to learn, socialize, play and rest.
Our goal is to help dogs and their humans develop positive communication skills and friendship. We celebrate the use of 100% positive reinforcement training.
Elizabeth Reddin, Founder & Director, is a Dog Training Internship Academy (DTIA) certified dog trainer and longtime Williamsburg resident with years of experience supporting local pup parents and dogs.

Play and Train
Play and Train $130 per class From $119 per visit with Play and Train 8 session pass pass No purchase required to enroll

Play and Train is a socialization program for Baby Puppies from 8 to 24 weeks old who are currently enrolled in and have completed the first session of the Baby Puppy Virtual Training Curriculum. Each Play and Train session is 4 hours long. These sessions are held Tuesday and Thursday, 9AM to 1PM and can be booked on the schedule page.

Group Classes
Baby Puppy Club Class FOR 20 WEEKS OLD & UNDER Purchase required to enroll
Baby Puppy Club Class is a three-time-weekly group class for pups between the ages of eight and twenty four weeks. This group is ideal for pups who have completed their first round of shots and who are not yet allowed to socialize with adult dogs. In this club, we focus on developmental puppy topics such as Bite Inhibition, Chewing, House Training, House Management, Handling, Grooming, Walking, Socialization, Play, Tricks, and the beginnings of Fundamental Behaviors such as Sit, Down from a Sit, Stand, Down from a Stand, and Placement Cues. The purchase of a four class pass is required for enrollment in Baby Puppy Club. Please be sure to sign your puppy up on the days you would like to attend class. Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis and each class is capped at 8 puppies. All pups will need a 6ft. leash, a hands free treat bag, and a harness. You can get all of these items in our shop. We have searched many harness brands and have found the most secure harnesses. We can find the perfect fitting harness for your pup!
Teen Puppy Club Class FOR 5-12 MONTHS OLD Purchase required to enroll
Teen Puppy Club is a Clicker Training group for puppies from five months to one year old. This group is appropriate for graduates of Baby Puppy Club and pups who have had an in-home Private Puppy Lesson or a Private Puppy Lesson at The Dog Institute. This class covers Handling, Socialization, Walking, Shaping, Tricks, Recall, and Fundamental Behaviors. This group meets weekly and can be attended on a drop-in basis, with a four class pass.

Private Lesson (At-Home)
The At-Home Private Lesson is $190 for an 1.5 hour long session.

Virtual Training
Intro Virtual Training Single Session
Virtual Training Sessions are approximately 90 minutes. All students must complete a 15 minute orientation call prior to first lesson.
Virtual Training Follow-Up Single Session
Virtual Training Follow-up lessons are for pups who have already completed the curriculum.
Virtual Training for Baby Puppies (8 to 26 weeks) From $200 per visit with Baby Puppy Virtual Curriculum Package - Prerequisite for Play and Train pass
Virtual Training Sessions are approximately 90 minutes. All students must complete a 15 minute orientation call prior to first lesson.
Virtual Training for Teen Pups (6 months to 2 years) and Adults Dogs (2 years and up)
These sessions are for pups from 6 months to 2 years of age. Virtual Training Sessions are approximately 90 minutes. All students must complete a 15 minute orientation call prior to first lesson.
In Person 90 minute Private Lesson (At-Institute)
The At-Institute Private Lesson is $250 for an 1.5 hour long session.
Day Training
Day Training Purchase required to enroll
Our Day Training program is designed to support our training clients as they move through the process of training their pups at our institute.
It is a full-day program providing your pup with play with other pups their age, structured house training, walking, chewing, crate training, tethering, impulse control, rest, and socialization to new people, children, dogs, and city sounds.
Pups must be 7 months old and younger to start this program.
Memberships last for 3 months and can be renewed as long as these requirements are met:
-Pups are spayed or neutered before the age of 8 months old
-Pups are actively enrolled in Baby Puppy Club and Teen Puppy Club
-All vaccine certificates meet the requirements of the health department.
-Pup's continue to be well adjusted to the program
